Police are investigating a make-shift sign that appeared in an east London park today.
The message, in Bartlett Park, Poplar, warns: ‘Do not walk your dog here! Muslims do not like dogs. This is an Islamic area now.’
The Labour MP for Poplar and Limehouse, Jim Fitzpatrick wrote a letter to Lutfur Rahman, Mayor of Tower Hamlets, requesting an investigation to determine whether the sign was ‘posted by the EDL, Islamists or another organisation or element.’
